1:1

Lesson format

Individual tuition means the pace, repertoire and feedback can be built around the student.

What happens first

  • Talk about the singers, songs and styles you enjoy
  • Warm up gently and get to know your comfortable range
  • Work on part of a suitable song
  • Identify a simple technical or confidence-building next step

Instrument and equipment

Your voice is the main instrument. Bring water and, if requested, a backing track or song idea. We will tell you in advance if anything else is useful for the session.

Practice between lessons

Healthy, focused practice matters more than singing for a long time. Your teacher will provide suitable warm-ups and song work, and will make clear when the voice needs rest.

04COMMON QUESTIONS

VOCALS LESSON FAQ

Do I need to sing alone at the taster?

The session is supportive and paced around confidence. The teacher will guide you through warm-ups and music that feels manageable rather than putting you on the spot.

Can you help with auditions or performances?

Yes. Lessons can cover song choice, interpretation, microphone technique, stage confidence and preparation for a specific event.

What if I do not know my vocal range?

That is completely normal. Your teacher will explore it safely over time; you do not need to arrive knowing a voice type or technical terminology.
